07 Aug Electro-Matic Integrated Welcomes New Project Manager
Mini Injection Molding Expert
Despite having just recently graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Plastic Engineering Technology, Will has an astounding 10 years of experience in both the distribution and sales of material, as well as the manufacturing of parts.
Starting as a part sorter at his father’s injection molding shop in high school, Will quickly moved his way up to a material handler where he oversaw the cleaning of all auxiliary material handling equipment for material changes. While in this position, he learned how to set up and calibrate material mixing and delivery systems, adjust recipes for product requirements, and replenish materials to production. Following his position as a mixer/material handler, Will spent the remainder of his time working in the tool and die shop of the plant. Here he measured tolerances and used lathes, mills, and grinders to maintain molds. He also ensured proper purging and proper tooling for machine set up and changeovers.
After working for his dad, Will spent two years as a technician and shift supervisor in the Injection Molding Division at Alpha Systems, LLC; a molding shop that specializes in using large tonnage machinery. As a process technician, he set up, ran, and maintained 23-25 injection molding presses; implementing mold, material, and process changeovers in compliance with production schedules. He also worked to change tools, start and stop jobs, and perform color changes.
During his time at Ferris State, Will continued to build on his experience in the industry through three different internships. His last college internship was spent as a technical service representative working on the distribution end of the polymer industry. In this position, he helped to solve issues customers were having with materials that were purchased and helped to assist with sales and mold trials at customer facilities.
Electro-Matic Integrated could not be more thrilled about adding Will Beach to our team as the new MPM Project Manager. As he has already proved to be an incredible asset, we look forward to his future with the company.
